Tori Burnie, project consultant in APCO Worldwide’s Sacramento office, provides clients with issue management support, specializing in traditional media relations and social media strategy and execution. Burnie has assisted clients in a variety of sectors, including consumer goods, energy and clean tech, natural resources and government. Her talent in pitching media and developing relationships, stakeholder mapping and research has helped contribute to measurable client successes. Burnie has deep and practical expertise online. Her experience includes strategy and content development, metrics analysis and community management for high-profile campaigns. She helped manage social media properties for a California-based grassroots coalition on an environmental regulatory issue, as well as the successful effort to defeat Proposition 46, a statewide initiative placed on the November 2014 ballot. Burnie attended California State University, Sacramento, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in mass communication.
