…to its monthly Professional Speakers Series Luncheon. This month please join us as we host leading public affairs professionals to share their insights on "The Changing Landscape of California Politics."

WHAT: Professional Speaker Series Luncheon featuring a diverse panel: Cassandra Pye, senior vice president of APCO Worldwide’s Sacramento office, Beth Miller, partner of Wilson-Miller Communications, Inc. and Gary Dietrich, founder of Citizen Voice.

WHEN: Thursday, April 22; registration begins at 11:30 a.m.

WHERE: Sofia Restaurant, 815 11th St., Sacramento, CA 95814 (note: Sofia has its own parking lot in addition to street parking)

WHY:Whether you work for an agency, nonprofit or government organization, this hour-long discussion and Q&A will provide the inside scoop on the changing climate of California politics and how you can adapt your public affairs and public relations strategies to maximize your efforts. Specific topics to be discussed include:

A historical overview of California politics and the major changes over the years

How public affairs professionals and agencies are adapting to the changing political landscape in such areas as campaign work and outreach tacti cs

How grassroots organizations have adapted their strategies and tactics to facilitate voter education including social media
